Dear fellow members and friends

Fortunately I seem to have spotted the Beddingham level crossing closure and its implications for us in time – if only just. Four of us – Joyce, Sheila, Sue Pringle (joining us for the first time) and myself had a very pleasant ride (our 3rd) last Sunday in the Chichester Harbour area. The weather was better than forecast and the roads – mostly – very quiet. Note change of train times for the Pevensey ride. We've gone for the direct train to avoid changing in Lewes.

1. Next Ride (4rd of series)

Sunday 30 May
Pevensey Levels and Normans Bay. About 27 miles.

Meet at Polegate station on, or to meet, the 10.46 train, which means catching the the 10.14 from Brighton station if you're using the train... Joyce and Sheila wish to have a swim at Norman's Bay if the weather is OK – anyone wanting to join them please come prepared. There is a pub the Star Inn – Bob remembers it as friendly and Sarah says it has good beer. Otherwise a late picnic on the beach – or earlier on the Levels - might be best

Rest of details as previously circulated.

2. Future rides

Sunday 13 June
Berwick circular.
Another gentle canter in a circuit based on Berwick Station. Joyce is organising this one.

Meet Berwick station to meet 10.41 train or catch it at 10.14 from Brighton station.

And after that? I'm happy to collate and send out info but I don't want to monopolise the organising of rides. Could you organise the ride on Sunday 27 June? Or failing that do you have a suggestion for where we should go – then or later? [Polite ones only!]
