The mystery of the missing posts!
No sooner had the posts been installed, but they disappeared!

This is where a post used to be!

What with English Heritage and the Women's Institute campaigning to
Save our Streets and 'cut the clutter' of signs and street furniture,
our council added some of those nice Victorian cast iron posts
to our seafront cycle lanes near pedestrian crossings, presumably to stop
cyclists mowing into grockles as they dawdle towards the beach.

Here they were nicely painted up.
